We went to Wyoming over the weekend - it was nice to relax with Schane's family. Schane got to watch one of Mychael's basketball games, and Tyler got to play - a lot. We also celebrated Tallon's 8th birthday.

Tyler was trying on Schane's shoes before we left for Wyoming on Friday.

After we got back home on Monday, Tyler decided he was ready to go again. He put on his hat and went to get some shoes on and kept saying "go".

Valentine's Day Chaos

Schane's entrepreneurial group decided to sell sugar cookies and roses for Valentine's Day. Their promotion was $4/1 rose, $10/3 roses, $30/12 roses, $2.50/12 cookies. We had 300 roses (minus the 12 I got) and 60 dozen cookies to deliver in on Feb 13 and 14. Tyler and I spent Feb 13 making about 20 dozen cookies. I stuck him in his highchair for about 3 hours while I frosted the cookies. He was a pretty good sport and was content as long as I gave him some cookies. Smart kid - he went straight for the frosting!

The 300 roses came in two small long boxes at about 1 pm on Feb 13. We were nervous, because when we unwrapped them, they were tiny and the outside petals were bruised. We cut their stems and stuck them in our mini trash cans (plus a plastic box) back in our bedroom. Thankfully, when we went to wrap some for deliveries, they were opening up. Below are the 300 and then the 12 I got to keep.

I also wanted to show my 12 the way they look now - beautiful!

Cee Cee and Alyssa brought by a valentine for us. What a cute idea!

Since Christmas vacation, Tyler has really been concentrating on his climbing skills. Unfortunately, that means we can no longer leave the computer chair by the computer table. So yah, our apartment has a whole lot of chairs and boxes moved to the middle of the room. Great, huh? Anyhow, these are some pictures I took yesterday and today when I noticed he had his climbing skills in gear.

Fun with Alyssa

Tyler's good friend Alyssa came over to play today. They usually play pretty well together. Each bout of tears or fighting is followed with hugs and kisses (Alyssa is very patient with Tyler's open mouth slobber kisses).

Apology

As you look below, you will notice I am not blogger-savy. I cannot get the pictures spaced the way I want them. I gave up. Maybe one day. . .

Tyler's B-day (Nov 6)

Tyler had no problem understanding what to do with that cupcake.

The end result of the birthday cupcake.

Just some birthday present pics.

More Misc Pics

Alyssa was teaching Tyler to dance. She really gets grooving - him not so much. Lately Tyler either spins in circles or head-bops.

While most of the kitchen is toddler-proof, the pan drawer is not. Tyler gets into at least once a day, usually when I am fixing something in the kitchen.

What kid doesn't like making a mess in Mom and Dad's room?

This was taken about last May, at Porter Park.

This was at the Pioneer Day Parade 7/24/07 in Burlington, WY (Schane's hometown).
