Update

This is a very long update - so I apologize. There are a few sets of pictures that I posted before this, so feel free to skip the words and get on to what you really want to see - pictures of that crazy kid we call Tyler!!!! =)

So Tyler turns 18 months on May 6 (this Tuesday). We're taking him to nursery tomorrow (don't tell on us - he's basically 18 months, right?). Yesterday at the park we saw a train, so he learned what trains say: 'choo choo'. When he's in the mood to perform, he can say all of the following words and noises: Tyler, Sissa (Alyssa), Up, Down, Mama, DAAA (that's Dad), moo, meOW, hehehe (horse), all done, maymen (amen), wawar (water), etc. I'm sure I missed some.

Again, if he's in the right mood, he will get me a diaper and wipes so I can change his diaper. He will put on his shoes (they're crocs), and he will help me clean up the messes he makes.

Lately, Schane has been indulging him by giving him two binkis when he goes to sleep. We'll come in and he is asleep but still constantly switching which binki he has in his mouth. I guess we'll wean our babies off binkis at the same time. =).

The other morning I made the pancakes too dry (a Wiles boy picky? NEVER!). I was in the other room when I heard Tyler start saying 'da dun' (all done). I came into the room to watch him stuff a bite of pancake under his bum. Sure enough, he was sitting on about 9 bites of pancake. Smart kid, huh?

Tyler pats his own tummy when we ask him where the baby is - I'm thinking . . . he probably doesn't get it =). He does like to give the "baby" a kiss - it usually results in my shirt getting wet front and center where nobody will miss it. Poor Tyler doesn't know what's coming to him here in about 5-6 weeks.

As a reminder - my official due date is June 13 and we're expecting a girl. I'm getting bigger by the week. The doctor says she's ahead of schedule so far, which is normal for a "big" baby - I guess Tyler was big at 8 lbs 7 oz, but I think Linsi would disagree =). It's hard to top Kevin (my nephew) - nor would I want to.

Schane is working for one of the construction teachers as a surveyor this summer. We're happy he found a local internship, as we had committed to stay and help manage these apartments. I think Schane is used to construction being a little more physically demanding than this surveying job is. Guess he'll have to hit the weight room if he wants to "beef up" this summer =).

I work in the office here from 1-3, while Tyler takes a nap. So far, he has only woke up early on two days. Hopefully he keeps taking 2 hour naps for a while yet. He likes to wave to the guys as they walk to and from school - everyone comments on what a happy kid he is.

Other Messes

These are pictures Schane took when I went to do laundry one day. I guess I left the box of Kix on the table. Opps!

Tyler got a little tired of waiting for me . . . I guess. I walked into the room while I was on the phone with Mom, and he had dumped the rest of his Cream of Wheat on his head and table and everywhere. This is one of the reasons I never get him dressed until after breakfast - he usually needs a shower or bath. It's hard not to laugh when he does this.
Looks like he's thinking: "What gives, Mom?"

Flour Mess

Tyler needed to stop distracting his dad (during finals week). I thought he'd get a kick out of helping me sift flour . . . he did. We ended up distracting Schane afterall, because I made him come take pictures. So goes life =).

Misc Pics

This pair of pjs is still a little too big - he didn't like them AT ALL.

Tyler and Alyssa are so much fun to watch - they always want to play with the same toy, be in the same box, read the same book. Sometimes this results in tears, but not too often.

Just playing in the boxes after our move.
Laundry baskets make the best toys, don't you think?
