Tummy time for Kelsie

Claire's getting married!!!!

Congrats to Claire!!!! She and Joe are getting married Dec 30 . . . hmmm - I thought they said they for SURE weren't going to get married in Dec =). Joe's a great guy - perfect for Claire. I'm so excited for them.
Anyhow, my mom and I (and Kelsie) came "in force" to help Claire find a wedding dress. Being the decisive gal that she is, she found the dress she wanted in about 4 hours. Hint to Joe: it is white . . . and . . . white. (don't worry Claire - this pic isn't even the real veil - I just couldn't resist - you're so dang cute in it!!!!)
Our ward started a play group. We have it twice a week (I put the link for the play group blog on the right). I'm impressed with how organized it is. We all just pitched in $5 for the semester to buy supplies. They always have a craft and someone brings a snack. Fun for the kidddies, fun for the mommies. This is one of the crafts we did a couple weeks ago.

As you can see, there are a bunch of little boys (and a few girls). There are three blond Tylers - a popular name I guess.

I got this foam sticker kit at Walmart, thinking Tyler and Alyssa would have fun with it. Turns out, it's fun for adults, too =).

Kitties

This last weekend, Schane and Tyler went to Burlington, WY to watch Mychael's football game (go Huskies!!!!). Kelsie and I stayed here b/c I had a soccer game to play in on Saturday (it was miserably cold).

Grandma Wiles has 2 kittens right now. Poor things - Tyler sure had fun playing with them.

Snow in Burlington

Schane and Tyler saw this bear in the Yellowstone Park on the way to Burlington last weekend.

As you can see, Burlington got dumped on. Schane said Tyler wasn't too keen on being cold.

random pics

We got Tyler this toddler bed a couple of weeks ago. He slept great in it the first night. The second night he fell off in the middle of the night (yes, he moves around a lot). The third morning he was calling for Dad - when Schane went to see what was wrong, he couldn't find Tyler. Finally, after turning on the light, Schane found him under his bed, tucked in the corner. We figure he must have fallen off during the night and then rolled under the bed. Cracked us up.

Tyler wanted to bake some crackers =).

Playing with Dad's new toy - an i pod.

Pictures we though we lost

These are in no kind of order. I thought we lost these pics when our computer crashed, but I guess we never cleared the camera's memory card. All were taken end of August/beginning of September.

Glad we're out

We were assistant managers at an apartment complex here for a few months. Lets just say it was the job from "a hotter place". Very difficult to work with the micro-managing (and sometimes unethical) owners. Anyhow, they just went through another set of assistant managers in less than 3 weeks. Following is the job description they've posted at the Housing Office. Sound like a job you'd like?

I've highlighted my favorite parts. As background, we got free rent, cable, internet, phone, and electricity in exchange for 10 hrs/wk in the office and after-hour phone calls every other week. Schane did maintenance 10 hrs/month at $7.50/hr.

Assistant Management Position opening at ******** Village Apts.

Assistant Manager Duties include, but are not limited to, and are subject to change:

Weekly Clean Checks
White Glove Clean Checks at the end of semesters
Check-In, Check-Out
Picking up Trash and Maintaining the Property (3 times/week)
Answering Phones after Hours 7 nights/wk
Lock/Unlock the Lounge (6 am and curfew)
Snow Removal (as needed)
Lawn Mowing (2 times/ week in summer)
Maintenance Work (must have previous experience, be self-motivated, and hard-working) 10 hours/week + more during breaks
Misc Activities such as Movie Nights, Breakfasts, etc.
Anything that the Manager needs help with

Compensation for Work Includes:

3 bedroom apartment, utilities included, furnished, internet, no phone service provided. Across the street from campus. Valued at $700. It was worth $600 when we were living there.
Starting pay is $7.50/hour and $8.50/night for answering phones. Hourly wages will be deducted from the rent. The remainder of the rent will be paid at the first of each month.

We are looking for a fun couple that knows how to work and can communicate well with upper management and the residents. ******** Village is a large complex. This is a hard job. You will put in several hours a week in work. But it is also rewarding. The residents are very nice and the managers and owners are great to work with.

Please take resumes and a family photo, in person, to ****manager*****. Pretty sure they don't want a couple with babies or expecting babies - clever way to discriminate.
