Dad is coming home!!!!

Dad coming home is the high-light of their day!!! That's a good thing in my opinion.

Picnic

One day a couple weeks ago, we told Schane to meet us at a park for lunch and we had a picnic. It was a little colder than it had been earlier that week, but that didn't stop us from having fun. Schane, spoiled office worker that he is, kept saying brrr - it's freezing out here! Made me laugh, b/c it wasn't even that cold!

Sportin' fancy undies

Yep, we've been trying to potty-train Tyler. And anything Tyler is doing Kelsie feels she needs to do too. We've had a couple accident-free mornings wearing underwear. Usually, though, Kelsie manages to have an accident about 1 minute after sitting on the potty. Tyler is some kind of terrified of going #2 in the toilet, and last weekend he got himself constipated from not doing it. I finally caved and put a diaper on him and told him if he pooped in his diaper I would be glad. His words while I was changing his diaper a couple hours later: "Are you so glad with me, Mom? Are you so glad?"

I have a feeling it will be a very long road, but I am determined not to have 3 kids in diapers!

Kelsie shorter interview

Tyler short interview

"Sorry" is a four-letter word

For example:
Tyler: "I don't want to take a nap - I want to watch a movie"
Mom: "Sorry, Tyler, but it's time to take a nap"
(As soon as he hears sorry) Tyler: "DON'T SAY THAT WORD! THAT'S A BAD WORD!"

I'm pretty sure he's caught on to the fact that if I say "sorry", that means he's not getting his way.

ANYWAYS, some variation of that conversation takes place in our home like 3-5 times a day. So just in case you were wondering, sorry is a BAD word!

Tyler sayings

We rented "Ice Castles" while Schane was out of town for a couple days. I don't know what the official movie critics said, but here is Tyler's recommendation: "Mom, that is the best movie ever made!"

The other funny thing is that yesterday, out of nowhere, Tyler started talking about his "special powers". We went out with a real estate agent for a couple hours, and on the last place, she told Tyler he had done so good. His response: "Yah, that's 'cuz I have so many many powers!"
