Catch Up

So, the kids and I spent the month of August in transit. We spent a week in Rexburg, a week in Burlinton with Schane's fam, a week in Denver with my fam, another week in Burlington, then finally back to Rexburg. Whew!!! I was glad to be done driving. Schane spent the month of August doing a mini-internship with the company he hopes to work for when we graduate. It was time well spent, because he got a job offer. Yipee!!!!

Hmmmm - how about a collection of random thoughts from the month?

Tyler REALLY wanted to see the camels at the zoo - I'm not sure how he got fixated on those, but he did.

The other day Tyler and Kelsie were taking a bath and I hear Tyler say: "Sit down, Kelse!! I don't like your butt in my face!!!"

Kelsie's favorite game to play with Uncle Tallon is "ROAR", which consists of him on all fours going "roar" and her running away squeeling.

Tyler was playing with his trains with Aunt Julia, just talking away. She must have given him a funny look or something, b/c she says he just stopped and said: "Am I speaking Jibberish to you, Ju-la? Am I not makin sense?" She felt pretty bad, but I thought it was funny.

Oh!!! Tyler was jibber-jabbering away our first night in Denver and he happened upon the F-word by accident. He sure latched onto it, though, b/c it got such a reaction. I have since learned that when your child swears, the last thing you should do is laugh. We endured 10 minutes of him shouting the F-word periodically before I could convince him it was a bad word and he's not to say it EVER.

Kelsie's new favorite thing to say is Ow-eeeee - she says it anytime she is upset about how her life is going - usually she's just whining. I've since learned to hate the word Ow-eeeee!!!

lol- your posts make me laugh.
If McKenna notices me getting frustrated, like when I'm running late she'll start saying, "oh my gosh- oh my gosh mommy". Then I just say, "Oh my GOODNESS really loud to see if I can get her to pick up on that instead. ahh well. Looks like that's what I must say in moments of stress.
