First fishing trip

We got the kids some poles and went fishing a couple weeks ago. They were very patient waiting for Dad to set up their poles. It was a windy day, and we didn't have much luck, though Schane almost got one (it slipped off when he got it out of the water).

Are they bored?

random video--our camera's about to die--sorry about the high-pitch whine in the background.

Movie Night

We took the kids to Shrek 4 (3D). Tyler loved it (though not as much as that dragon one--THAT'S the one we should have at OUR home--referring to How to Train Your Dragon). Kelsie is just not big enough to go to movies yet--we saw about 25 minutes of it before she started being really loud and then I spent the rest of the movie out in the foyer with her and outside pointing at the colors of the the cars driving by. Oh well.

Bear sighting

On our way back home...right by Yellowstone Lake between Fishing Bridge and Sylvan Pass. It was a grizzly cub digging at roots. The weird thing was, there were like 5 or 6 rangers with tranq guns out and an ambulance just sitting there ... no mama bear in sight.... wonder what was going on.

Memorial Day weekend

We met Chris and CeeCee in West Yellowstone and had a blast just hanging out with them!!! This was the first time we've seen them in more than 1 1/2 years, but everyone picked up right where we left off. Tyler was calling Alyssa "Sissa" again within 5 minutes. It was a rainy rainy weekend, so we were glad to be in a hotel instead of camping!

We were stalling the kids at the tiny grocery store there while the men shopped for some food.

What good dads!!!!

Chris and Cee Cee said these tourists reminded them of her grandparents, so I took a random pic for them =).

We took the kids swimming a number of times--tiring them out so we could play games later. Also, I'm noticing I don't have any pics of Cassie - sorry CeeCee!!!

On our way into the park to see Old Faithful!!!

The only group photo of the whole weekend. But- at least we got one!!!!

Friends for life (hopefully).

Recent Project

Back in January, Lynn (my father-in-law) asked me to make a quilt of the Billings Temple for Judy's (my mother-in-law) birthday in May. It took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to do, but this is the end result. I wish you could see it up close, because it's really cool!!! It is a small (1.5 feet x 2.5 feet) raw-edge applique quilt, which means the material is iron-on and then stitched to hold it down. The photo I worked from was taken by Ardent Photography--absolutely beautiful!!! Anyways, mostly I'm glad it's done.

Photo shoot

It's been more than a year since I had portraits done of my kids, and since we no longer live by a JCPenney's, I thought I'd give it a whirl. Note to self: don't choose bright windy day. Anyways, I think we'll give it another try next week (though there are some pretty good ones - just not what I wanted). The first and last ones are my favorites!!!

Just Kelsie

Just Tyler

It was kinda hard to get him when he wasn't giving me a "cheeser".
