pics

We have seen an increase in the number of "fits" Tyler throws on a daily basis. Ahhhh - the joys of toddlers =).
One night Kelsie woke up about 3:30 am, and I thought - 'I'll just feed her quick in the dark , then go back to sleep'. So I'm sitting there feeding her when I notice her blanket feels moist - then I realize that she smells - and not like pee. This is the surprise I found when I turned the light on. I woke up Schane so he could share in the joys of parenthood. We threw the outfit away - I didn't like that one too well anyhow (which is what you get when you buy your baby's clothes off of ebay for less than $1 a piece). Fun, huh? Judy was about to leave when we realized we didn't have a single picture of her with Kelsie - too busy I guess. It sure was nice having Judy and Kristen come and help - I honestly don't know how I would have survived that first week otherwise.

Obviously, we had our baby: Kelsie Victoria Wiles. She was born June 10. There is more info on her below the pictures.

first week pics

Kristen and Judy came to help us out the first week. This is Kristen's first time holding Kelsie.
This is Tyler's first time holding Kelsie. It took him a couple days to want to - I think he was sort of confused about the whole thing. He definitely did NOT like Mom and Dad - he only wanted Grandma. Now he's doing better and gives me hugs and kisses again. Kristen tied all these balloons to Tyler's new bike (which we bought as bribery to get him to like us again). Chris and Alyssa holding Kelsie. These are just some close up pics of our chubby baby. Tyler is wearing Kristen's pink shoes - he thought he was pretty big.

coming home

This is Kelsie's going home outfit.
Kelsie is all bundled up b/c it was snowing that day - that's right - snowing on June 11!
Heather, our neighbor downstairs, decorated - so this is what I saw when we came home. She also put balloons in our livingroom - Tyler is still playing with those - 1 week later.Chris and Cee Cee got us flowers and balloons - Tyler especially loved the balloons.

Introducing: Kelsie Victoria Wiles

I was so sure this baby was going to be late: shows what I know. I noticed the first contraction (of the pregnancy) Tues morning when I woke up. I didn't know whether or not this was real labor or false - so I didn't want to tell Schane to stay home from work - he finally made the decision himself and came home at about 9:30 am - good thing. We headed up to the hospital around 11 am. Schane says everything I said was in command form: "I'm in labor - I want an epidural - check me and get me an epidural - etc". I was dilated to a 6 and just barely got the epidural. 10 minutes after the drugs kicked in, I asked the nurse to check me again, and she said I was ready to start pushing. 45 minutes later, at 1:01 pm, baby was born. Her stats (put together by Schane) are below.

Name: Kelsie Victoria Wiles
Birthday: June 10, 2008
Weight: 9 lbs 2 oz
Height: 19"
Hair: Lots
Eyes: Dark
Skin: Red
Occupation: Sleep, poop, eat

No baby yet

Though my due date is less than 1 week away, I am predicting that this baby won't come until she's forced to. The doctors tell me it'd be nice if I would start having contractions . . . or something. I'm doing my best to accomodate them - taking walks everyday, etc - but I haven't had much luck thus far.

A couple weeks back we set an induction date of June 20, sort of as a "contingency" plan. Looks like it's a good thing we did.

You never know, though - I could still be surprised and end up having this babe all on my own. Only time will tell.

Photo Session

Chris and Cee Cee dropped Alyssa off early one morning so they could go to the temple. I gave the kids a bath after breakfast, then dressed them in "matching" outfits. They looked so cute, I decided we'd have a "photo session" before going outside. These are the pics.

Play Time

Just some pics of Tyler and Alyssa playing.
